Your journey begins with a scenic drive up the slopes of Etna to reach the iconic Sapienza Refuge, located at 1,986 meters. Surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscapes, you’ll explore some fascinating Craters, as well as recent lava fields from the volcano’s latest activity. Led by a certified nature guide, you’ll then delve into the underground world of a real lava cave, equipped with a helmet and headlamp. Enjoy a relaxing stop at a local products store nestled on Etna’s fertile slopes. Taste Sicilian specialities like local honey, and olive oil.
