Gorges of Tiberius in rubber dinghy, Unesco Geopark site

Overview

The excursion to the gorges of Tiberio includes the crossing by boat of the geological site recognized by UNESCO and a walk along the river Pollina according to the period downstream to the small Gorges or upstream to the lakes where it is possible to swim. Inside they will be able to observe: "U miricu", the numerous nests with the eggs laid by the birds that inhabit this environment, the gastropod fossils dating back to about 120 million years ago, the boulder in the center of the path once a secret passage of the brigands and wanted people who lived in the numerous caves and hiding places in the area, the play of light and obviously uncontaminated vegetation. Along the way it is possible to admire a typically fluvial flora and fauna. Bee-eaters, yellow dancers, buzzards, a pair of golden eagles, tawny owls, owls, crabs, eels, frogs, dragonflies, are some species of animals that live in the area of the Gorges of Tiberius.
